A Day In Düsseldorf

It is the 23 of October, a pretty dark and unpleasant cloudy Sunday…. Oh well these are the perks of the fall weather….But that does not stop us. A dear friend of mine and I have decided to escape from the dark city of Bonn. The decision was visiting one of my favorite cities in Germany…Düsseldorf.

After an hour with the train, which felt like a minute, we have arrived in what is called to be one of the fashion metropolis of NRW. We were pleasantly surprised to see that it is an Open Store Sunday…. This ment all the labels and fashion houses have opened their boutiques from 13 to 18 o´clock… And it is just about half past two. Suddenly the sun is peaking trough the cloudy sky…it couldn’t get any better than this.

It is crazy how many people are out and about, enjoying the Sunday and the sunshine, running errands, shopping and relaxing outside. After a solid walk on the Königsallee and eye-playing with the Dior and the Gucci store, cause lets be honest…Gucci is everything at the moment, we have decided to use the last sun rays for a shooting or two…We stopped by the Hermes store, by the two bridges on the Königsallee and ended with a sudden urge for coffee.

After the Shooting we finished our day in a beautiful Starbucks Cafe in the old city of Düsseldorf. There i had a chocolate chip cookie and my very first Pumpkin Spice Latte….and guess what.. i am hooked.

In the evening we met a few more friends and went out for a meal in a Korean restaurant.
