Hello my lovely people. It is the 8 of October and after waking up and getting my first coffee for the day I had an realization. The Fall is here to stay. And slowly we are moving from that beautiful golden fall time to the not so pleasant one. Days are getting shorter and that scene of massive depression is coming through. Soon it will be misty and raining. The clouds will become a permanent companion throughout the days. In a few weeks we will be switching time once again (29.10), reassuring that: “Winter is coming”. I have to confess, that I am not immune to all these feelings and frustrations. No one is. But a way to get me out of that state is of course fashion. Here I will present to you my most favorite fall outfit. For now at least.
Most favorite Fall outfit
Are you more of a bag person or outerwear one? I have to say for myself, wherever I see a coat, parka or jacket I am all: Yes, sign me in please. In my current outerwear collection I have at least 30 pieces, if not even more. That is my guilty pleasure and I am not ashamed to admit that. That particular parka i bought at Zara. Because lets be honest, nobody does better High Street wear than Zara, even though sometimes the Knock Off element is a bit high. It is oversized and really comfortable for the transitional period. I really enjoy wearing an oversized piece, because I feel it looks more sophisticated and very often projects a luxe feeling. This particular parka can also be cinched in the waist for the more elegant look. The fur detail on the hood is a courtesy of my own sewing skills.
I have combined the parka with really thick chunky wool sweater also in a extreme oversized fit. This one is an one old from H&M. But the current collection has some really beautiful similar pieces. My trusty old leather Converse with the stamps in different colors were the perfect choice to give a little bit of playfulness to the whole ensemble. I have chosen my Gucci Tian backpack and my Aboutmyjewel necklace to elevate the look and give it more of a fashion statement vibe. As you can see not everything has to be designer.
With that cozy look I think one can just smile, despite foggy and rainy weather.
