I am a winter child. January is my month of birth and the time i feel really festive. Although i love this time of the year, it doesn’t mean that the cold isn’t tearing up on me and my nerves. It is, trust me. That is why the outerwear in this period is crucial for me. My choice is a coat from Burberry Prorsum. Because January is indeed the best shearling time.
The Jacket has the softest leather on the outside. That is why it caught my attention in the store. Further surprise was the lining…. deep blue shearling, which is really thick and warm. Due to the way the jacket is cut, like an aviator coat, it mesmerized me even more until the point when i was :” Sold and sold!” Words couldn’t even express the feeling i had after buying that wonderful coat. I was sure of the quality. Burberry has never disappointed me. The craftsmanship, all the details up to the epaulette and the beautiful thick leather belt, all looked like perfection. The one thing i was afraid of was: this is a luxury item i have to really look after it and be careful with it. That was the way i was thinking back then. But as time passed by i got more confident wearing it.
Nowadays it seems to me that buying a luxury item is not an investment, but something that makes me happy and joyful. This is a piece of advice from me to everyone: Buy it if it makes your eyes sparkle and wear it! I am really glad my state of mind has changed in that way…maybe i am just getting older.
The Look:
For this look i have combined the Burberry Prorsum shearling jacket with fitted Zara jeans and a COS wool sweater. The graphical jumper really matches the deep royal blue of the lining. In addition i wore black suede Tommy Hilfiger boots, which i bought a while ago and my new Gucci marmont belt in chocolate brown with the antic silver cuff. I hope you enjoyed the look.
