Hello my lovely people…. I know I have been missing for a hot second. With the new year and my birthday… I felt I needed a bit of a break from my blog. Somehow I was lacking on inspiration… and I did find myself in a kind of a content pickle. But now I am here to stay… lets hope. With me turning a year older I reached a point, where I was pretty unhappy with the content I was creating… feeling that I was staying behind… I am sure I am not the only one having a crisis like that! So if you thought I was taking my blogging on a light shoulder…. think again. I am determined and hope that some day all my “Emily” ( the Devil wears Prada ) dreams will come true. My second post for the year 2018 is all about my Acne Studios impressions.
A little of the Brand’s History
Acne Projects is actually brought to life in 1996. The Name Acne means “Ambition to Create Novel Expressions” and it is a Swedish brand. Acne Projects consisted out of a few Branches like Acne Jeans, Acne Advertising, Acne Department, Acne Digital, Acne Film and Acne JR. The popularity of the Swedish brand started with an expose in the Swedish Elle, about the Acne Jeans with the signature red stitching. After another publication in the London prestige magazine Wallpaper… the European exposure escalated. Furthermore a few orders from the luxurious department store Fred Segal in Beverly Hills launched the international success of Acne over sea…in the United States. The first store outside of Sweden opened….in Berlin, Germany in 2005. In 2006 Acne Jeans was renamed into Acne Studios and was separated from the Acne collective. And as we all say… the rest is history.
Since 2011 Acne Studios presents collections for the Paris Fashion week and has become one of the most loved brands from celebrities, fashionistas and influencers.
Acne Studios impressions
My Look is all about the Acne Studios pure wool scarf. It is not my first piece from the brand ( still having major crush on the velocite jacket ), that is why I can already tell you a few things about the quality. The brand uses only the best fabrics and the innovative shapes and silhouettes are pure perfection. In my opinion…. Acne is on Fendi level…. but for less in pricing, which is really a plus. The scarf I have chosen is 200×70 cm… it is basically a blanket scarf. You can take it in the cab or on a flight… and use it as a cozy and snugly throw on piece. The bright color is also a statement… really bold and in your face, but screaming luxe and exclusivity. I have to say… I am a FAN. My Acne Studios impressions are really more than positive… i am delighted.
I have paired it with my Burberry double breasted wool coat, HM skinny jeans and HM jumper… also Fendi bag and charm. My shoes are from Zara… ( a very cherished Christmas present from my better half ).
Overall I am very happy with the way that look turned out… it is maybe one of my favorites.
I am looking forward to the Acne Studios Paris fashion week presentations….
