It is a strange time to be… and simply staying at home.
Hello my lovely people, long time no see. It is me yours true and only theconjuringcat, coming back on the blog, trying to figure things out, life, job, personal relations and so much more.
It is the strangest time to be alive and put a smile on your face. As you all know the Covid-19 situation has trapped us all and has managed to stop our lives, the economy and everything around us, squeezing the last drop of sanity we have left.
Many of you know, that I have been missing on the horizon for quite some time now.
And maybe you have asked yourselves… what happened to that dude after all? It is the simplest thing… life happened to me. It knocked me down on the ground, grabbed be on my ankles and tossed me aside, telling me… “You forgot what it feels to be tortured, I will remind you!” After an Email breakup after 12 years of a relationship I felt like the ground beneath my feet has been torn apart. I didn’t know where to begin my existence as a single person. But I am managing quite well if I may say and I am happy to be out of that toxic environment.
And then the Covid-19 came and paralyzed everything… even me learning new interesting people, I somehow came to enjoy. And this is a shitty feeling once again. But that is how the cookie crumbles. My priorities shifted and I am now focused on Me, myself and I. I am a firm believer that people come into our lives with purpose. Maybe it is to open your eyes for the new things, to make you feel like you still got it. That is a beautiful feeling, coming out of your shell and starting to learn more about yourself, outside of the cold embrace of a shitty relationship. Is there anything more fulfilling than that? Not really if you ask me.
What to do?
The thing to do now… Staying At Home. The lock-down has really knocked us down.
Seems so simple, but also so challenging at the same time. You can do so many things at home. That’s at least what everybody tells you. You can read all the books you wanted or have started, but never finished. You can organize your wardrobe, learn a new language, take online courses or simply sleep all day if you feel like it, practice sports and try to be the perfect version of yourself.
What I do?
I personally have embraced cooking as a simple escape from reality. Meals are sometimes a nice experiment, especially if the end result is more than satisfying. I also have styled my apartment in a different way, making it look more sophisticated. You-Tube is a great source for inspiration and ideas. Many bloggers have done videos and so many design decor channels pop up when you look for them.
Something else I do a lot at the moment, while staying at home… training every day. It doesn’t matter if you do 10 minutes or 30 or even 1 hour, every kind of fitness is better than doing nothing and procrastinating. Long walks all by myself are always welcome as well. And do not forget tanking some sun, especially when the weather is a dream at the moment. I have started a few new books, also a one about self discovering and self improvement.
There is no need to panic. In conclusion it is what it is and we have to try to do the best out of the situation. Health is most important, also mental health. Stay active and hustle. When life gives you lemons… you know the saying.
Always yours… Xoxo the conjuringcat
